Ipoh food feast

Some of family hail from Ipoh, a city in Malaysia known for its food, valleys, and pretty girls :)
We head to Ipoh for a vacation from time to time. Here're some food pics from this town of abundance. Ipoh offers a lot more stuff, like 'nga choi kai'/bean sprout chicken and all that. But I'll leave that for another time.

河粉 /Hor Fun/Flat Rice Noodles
Ipoh makes all kinds of noodles really well.
Smoother and springier than other places in Malaysia

Fish balls
Ipoh is also famous for really fresh and bouncy fish balls.

Fried fish cakes/tofu
Again, an Ipoh speciality

This was just the nescafe/milo I had with everything :)
It's not really an Ipoh thing...

More fish balls, stuffed vegies, and tofu

蛋挞 / Egg tarts
OH, these ones have layers and layers of flaky crusts!
YUM, one of my favourite desserts!

Mun Chong restaurant, one of the well-known Chinese restaurants in Ipoh
FRESH FRESH succulent prawns steamed in a little wine and egg
SOOO good that my sister who normally doesn't like prawns was asking for seconds

Stewed leg of lamb. Canton-style
With mantou/fresh buns
One has to order it 24 hours ahead
Tasty and tender meat was falling off the bone. 'Nuff said
